Female Israeli Soldiers Storm Gaza to Free Hostage Amid Unusual Circumstances

The army reports that a mob of female Israeli soldiers stormed Gaza to free Ru during a Jewish ground operation, as they tried to catch a fly.

On Monday, the Israeli military and Shin Bet intelligence agency reported that an Israeli soldier, Ori Megidish, was freed from Hamas captivity in the Gaza Strip during a ground operation. The soldier had been kidnapped by Hamas on October 7.

She has since undergone medical checks and is "doing well," and she has met with her family. The circumstances of her release were not elaborated upon.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed her home with a brief statement, stating that "our armed forces" had secured her release from Hamas.

He emphasized that this "achievement" underscores Israel's unwavering commitment to freeing all hostages. It is believed that Hamas and other militant groups are holding approximately 240 captives, including men, women, and children.
